READY, SET, GO! GRANT AWARDED TO THE KENOSHA AREA CONVENTION AND VISITOR'S BUREAU FOR THE 2017 ICE SKATING INSTITUTE SYNCHRONIZED CHAMPIONSHIPS AT RECPLEX THIS MARCH

The KACVB will receive a Ready, Set, Go! grant from the Wisconsin Department of Tourism for the 2017 Ice Skating Institute Synchronized Championships. The award is for $2,750.

The event is scheduled for March 31 - April 2 at the RecPlex Ice Arena. The ISI is an international industry trade association encompassing all aspects of the ice skating industry. More than 90 teams and 900 skaters are expected at this event, from Texas, New York, Massachusetts, Colorado, Illinois, Ohio, Florida, California, and many more states. The Ready, Set, Go! Grant Program assists destinations in securing competitive sporting events that require an upfront cash or financial commitment.

The Village would like to thank the Convention and Visitorís Bureau for their assistance in promoting events and tourism in our area. We also wish to welcome the skaters and their families to the area and wish them the best of luck! As of press time (for the February Village Newsletter), 60 teams and 600 competitors had registered for the event.
